Event Description: Highly experienced, successful Certified Management Consultants (CMCs) will lead small group round table discussions. Participants at each round table will have an opportunity to obtain advice from the CMC advisor at that table. Participants at prior IMC events have sought advice about the following illustrative types of questions:
1. What do I need to do to successfully transition from my traditional corporate job to becoming an independent consultant?
2. How do I overcome the challenges I am facing in starting up my new consulting practice?
3. How do I improve my current approach to marketing my services?
4. What form of consulting business enterprise should I form? Corporation? LLC? LLP? Sole Proprietorship?
5. What are some suggestions for improving my hit rate on proposals I submit?
6. How can I better allocate my time to the various aspects of my consulting practice (e.g., marketing, sales, proposal preparation, project management, doing the actual consulting work)?
7. How should I handle this particular thorny issue I’m having with my client?
8. How can I resolve this issue I’m having with another consultant on the project?
